Sitting Pretty in Garden City:
The 23rd International Convention of The Wodehouse Society
Welcome to our 2026 Convention page! TWS’s 23rd convention will take place on November 5–8, 2026, at the Garden City Hotel, Garden City, Long Island, New York. Long Island is a mecca for Wodehouseans: Wodehouse lived and worked in New York City and on LI often over the course of his life, and he and lived the last twenty years in Remsenburg. So what better place to hold a convention? Thankfully, the Garden City Hotel is conveniently located for convention travelers: only 13 miles from JFK Airport, 18 miles from LaGuardia, and directly across the street from a Long Island Railroad station (approximately 45 minutes to Penn Station). A short walk from the hotel brings you to a shopping district replete with stores and restaurants.
Convention updates will be posted on this page, as will a link to the registration form when it is available. Questions? Send them to the Convention Committee Chair.

HOW YOU CAN HELP
We are currently trying to raise funds that will help to offset the various costs of our convention, thus enabling us to keep fees down and make it more affordable. One way of doing this is to hold weekly auctions on eBay, selling items of a distinctly Wodehousean nature. These auctions are posted on our Facebook page and on PGWnet. We are also requesting direct donations according to the following levels of giving: Corky, $1-$99; Bertie, $100-$249; Psmith, $250-$499; Gally, $500-$999; Uncle Fred, $1,000. (Note that the characters are listed not in order of their wealth but by the amount of sweetness and light they can be counted on to spread.) Donations can also be made in honor or memory of someone. Any size of donation will be gratefully received, and donors do not need to attend the convention in order to contribute. All donors will be listed in the convention program, unless they prefer anonymity. To learn how you can make a contribution, write to the Convention Committee Chair.
