Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize 2025

In December 2025, the winner of that year’s Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize for Comic Fiction was announced. Rosanna Pike drew the brass ring for her debut novel, A Little Trickerie, published by Penguin Random House. Based on the real-life “Holy Maid of Leominster,” the book’s heroine, Tibb Ingleby, plots an elaborate hoax as part of her search for shelter. The novel has received high praise from the panel of judges for its wit and clever use of language. In addition, Ms Pike has received a jeroboam of Champagne Bollinger Special Cuvée, a case of Bollinger La Grande Année, a complete set of Everyman Wodehouse books. But that ain’t all! As usual for the prize’s winners over the years, the title of Ms Pike’s book has been bestowed on a Gloucester Old Spot pig.

The Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize was begun in 2000—read all about it on the Champagne Bollinger website—and to mark their 25th anniversary, an additional competition was established to pick the best of the Bollinger prize winners over the year. The late Marina Lewycka came out on top for her 2005 book A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian. Congratulations to both of this year’s winners!
