NYC: Hal Cazalet in Play on Words

November 3 @ 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm EST

Hal Cazalet—singer, composer, and talented great-grandson of P. G. Wodehouse—is bringing his successful show Play on Words stateside! His tribute to PGW’s early music career has been performed to great applause in England and India, and it’s a thrill to see him come to the stage in New York City, just before The Wodehouse’s Society’s convention in Garden City.

Done in the form of a revue, Play on Words features not only Wodehouse’s memorable lyrics but also the music and lyrics of Jerome Kern, Alan Jay Lerner, Cole Porter, and many more as he examines the development of music theatre over some 120 years. In addition to singing, Hal shares anecdotes about his great-grandfather and other musical luminaries.

Play on Words is being presented on Tuesday, November 3, starting at 7 p.m., at the Laurie Beechman Theater, 407 W 42nd St, New York City. For more about the show, and to purchase tickets, go to the Beechman Theater’s website.

Hal is currently working on other bookings for the show in New York, so keep an eye on our Events Calendar if you can’t make it on November 3.
